Starting Values

The starting values section begins with the keyword starting_values. This section is not required. By default, the starting values are picked at random. The format of the starting values section is similar to that of the parameter bounds section:

parameter-number starting-value

Parameters are numbered 1 through n. The free parameters are ordered first by matrix: $\Lambda$, $\Theta_{\epsilon}$, $\text{B}$, and $\Psi$. Within a matrix they are numbered columnwise--going in order down each column. As a check the free parameters are printed with both their number and matrix location at the top of both GENBLIS's standard output and in the listing file.
